Okay, so a lot of us like our president and some don't, that's fine! But I believe there have been many untruths told about this leader that just have to be debunked. So, I will be debunking the untruths about Donald Trump.
I will be starting with the unfortunate belief that Donald Trump is a racist. I believe that anyone elected into the President's office of our great country, where we believe in freedom and equality, must have respect for all law abiding citizens regardless of their background. I am aware of the controversy of why people think this. The controversial campaign promise, suggesting to build a wall because Trump "doesn't like" Mexicans, is so wrong on so many levels, and which is why I am debunking it.
First off, the wall is to protect our country and citizens from criminals trying to enter the United States illegally. So why wouldn't a person trying to enter our country just enter legally? In some cases the reason a person enters our country illegally, unfortunately, is usually to flee their country after committing a crime, to smuggle drugs, or just because they want to break the law and enter the United States illegally, if you're into that I guess?
In the past, Trump has referred to illegals as drug dealers, and criminals, which made a lot of people angry, but this is actually factual in some cases. Illegals enter our country, getting past border patrol after, or before, committing crimes, so Trump is correct in these instances.
Another juicy untruth made by most anti-Trump people is that the wall will separate the Mexican citizens in Mexico from Americans in America, give me a break; I didn't think that even the most dedicated anti-Trumps would get something like this wrong. Well, the wall will not separate Mexicans from Americans; foreigners can still cross the border legally if they follow the law.
Our last untruth for today will be that Trump hates women. This one is probably the most predominant in liberal hot spots like CNN and the Young Turks, right next to the racism untruth. The "evidence" people have for this one is how Trump has insulted women throughout his campaign. The evidence to back Trump up on this misunderstanding is how he has insulted women and men equally.
Politicians can all get pretty nasty in the heat of the campaign. The "nasty woman" roast, insult, I mean, he fired at Hillary Clinton during a debate, and he has called Rosie O'Donell "fat." So is everyone forgetting how Trump has insulted, or roasted Marco Rubio and said, "he is the sweatiest guy I have ever seen," and has called him "little Marco." He has also insulted Ted Cruz and called him "worse than Hillary" (which is pretty bad), and has called him the "biggest liar." With that said, I think that Donald Trump does not have a filter in what he says, although, I believe he is insulting individuals and not targeting men or women.
I do hope that going forward President Trump will take the well heeded advice to stop tweeting and use some much needed discretion in his responses to certain individuals. For now, let's respect the office and give President Trump a chance to do the job he was elected for, and in President Trump's words "make America great again." I'm for that! How about you?
