In 2013, the Boy Scouts of America ended its ban on openly gay youths participating in its activities. Two years later, the organization ended its ban on openly gay adult leaders. Just recently, an 8-year-old transgender boy in Jersey was recently kicked out because he was a trans. Joe was born a girl, and until 2 years ago, he went as Joni.
According to cnn.com, the cub scouts had kicked him out because biologically, "He was born as a girl. But after a month of science experiments and barbecues at a New Jersey chapter, he was told he's no longer welcome." A little bit sexist, just a LITTLE bit. But really, he's now a guy. He was in cub scouts for a while and then the leaders all say 'Oh you're biologically a girl so now we don't care that you've been here for the while and now have made all of these great amazing friends! We don't care if you're 8 or 18! Pack you're bags, kiddo. You're no longer welcome. See ya!' I mean really!
Also, CNN had had an interview with Joe. He says, "I felt very upset, but then very angry because it's just not fair that because I was born a girl, they won't let me in." Jeez the kid's 8. Cut him some slack, Cub Scouts. But seriously, he's 8. Just because he was, I quote, "biologically female," you can't just throw him out. Just 4 years ago you let openly gay children in! What's wrong with being trans? I think the Boy Scouts are Anti-LGBT, but heh. I'm not making any accusations. OF COURSE I AM. I'm just saying, if Boy Scouts are so "good" to nature and others and what not, why be a hypocrite? Just saying.
